
The science of teamwork
This course helps managers and leaders to create high performing teams through a range of practical activities to aid understanding of team dynamics, raise levels of self-awareness and understand how to get the best out of team members. A team strengths profiling analysis is completed for each participant ahead of the learning event.

Learning outcomes; At the end of this learning delegates will be able to;

Appreciate and understand the importance of teamwork in a business or organisation environment

Appreciate and recognise the importance of different personality profiles within a team, how to identify each and how to create a balanced and high performing team

Refer to a “team effectiveness model” to identify possible areas for attention and development, to ensure that team objectives are met

Use tools to diagnose team problems and apply remedies

Contribute more effectively as team members
KEY LEARNING UNITS
Behaviours in action –
Analysing various forms of behaviour in a task environment, with a video analysis and review.
Team roles –
Understanding behaviours as specific team roles, and comparing them to the delegates’ own team strengths profile.
Team development –
Analysing and identifying the stages and behaviours seen as teams develop and grow, or when there are changes to their structure. Diagnostics and remedies.
