  • Help colleagues and employees to experiment in finding better ways of working.

  • Use coaching models to help those being coached to come up with solutions and ideas.

  • Help develop a collaborative approach to working, as opposed to a “tell” approach.

  • Use their coaching skills to raise standards of performance in those whom they are responsible for.

 

KEY LEARNING UNITS

 

Teaching versus Coaching –

Identify and understand the differences between teaching, training and coaching.

 

Learning principles–

A study of the way that the brain functions, in particular looking at different learning styles adopted by individuals, and how to adapt the approach to make a connection with them.

 

Principles and facts about learning –

An in depth look at the adult learning process and the training circle.

 

The coaching model –

An introduction to a coaching model, practical coaching sessions to help with task and/or behavioural situations.
