Service Description
£550 includes VAT and tea/coffee & light lunch each day and personal leadership behaviour report. This is a three day programme designed to develop and empower potential or relatively new in post managers / leaders. Most of us are promoted because we are consistently over-performing functionally or technically. However, becoming responsible for other people or a team requires a very different set of skills. The programme gives learners the skills, behaviours and confidence to become competent managers and leaders. Delegates will complete a leadership behaviour questionnaire before attending and receive a report for reference during the course. Day ONE content overview; Introduction to Managing & Leading; TUESDAY 24th SEPTEMBER 2024 * The importance of Self-awareness * Understanding Management and Leadership – the differences and complementarity, Line manager responsibilities, Leadership responsibilities * Review of pre-course personal leadership behaviour report * Personal styles and behavioural traits, assessing individual and team needs, building managerial & leadership style - flexibility and effectiveness. Day TWO content overview; TUESDAY 1st OCTOBER 2024 Creating high performing teams; * Defining teams and team types * Understanding ‘The Science of teamwork’ – team role profiles and inherent strengths and w weaknesses * Adapting behaviours to engage and connect with the team, helping the team to work together- developing and managing a team charter, diagnosing & resolving teamwork problems, integrating your team with the wider organisation. Day THREE content overview; WEDNESDAY 9th OCTOBER 2024 Achieving results & Building relationships – (Effective managerial and leadership communication skills); * Understanding the communication cycle * Recognising the effects of common communication barriers & how to limit or resolve issues * Building effective communication skills & behaviours, assertiveness, using feedback and dealing with difficult behaviour and having ‘difficult conversations’ * Managing job and behavioural performance * Understanding what performance is, standard setting, measuring, monitoring, & controlling performance * Helping others to develop, achieve and exceed performance expectations * Challenging people and holding people accountable - legal and ethical aspects Payment by BACS TRANSFER PLEASE TO; Damozza Associates Ltd. Cancellation Policy
All bookings are paid in advance by BACS transfer to our account. Should you pay and not be able to attend a session and you notify us at least 7 days before the event, we will give you a full refund at your request. Alternatively, we will be happy to accommodate you on a different session or date in line with our planned events schedule.
